GUE CCR 1 with Guy Shockey, Cozumel, Dec 28, 2023 - Jan 4, 2024
Warm blue water, warm weather, amazing drift diving, great food and accommodation...what more do I have to say! This is the second year we have run GUE classes in Cozumel and the first year was a resounding success. 3rd Dimension Diving will again be providing top notch logistics and Deep Exposure Dive Center will provide our necessary boat diving days. This is a great place to get a lot of in-water time and enjoy a warm water break!

GUE Fundamentals on Vancouver Island with Guy Shockey, March 9-12, 2024
The GUE Fundamentals course is by far GUE’s most popular program. It functions as a gateway into GUE training and it is an excellent way to personally experience what GUE is all about.
Some divers use the Fundamentals course as a way to improve on the less-than-optimal training they have received during traditional fast-track entry-level courses. Others see the course as a ticket to participate in GUE projects and activities. Many technical divers and even experienced instructors from other organizations use the course to improve basic skills and gain access to GUE’s cave and tech-training.

GUE Tech ITC, Vancouver Island, July 1-6, 2024, with Graham Blackmore and Guy Shockey
Becoming a GUE technical instructor can be a demanding process but it is a more direct and straight forward path than that required for you to qualify as a fundamentals instructor. At this level, your peer group is quite a bit smaller and this is not just because it takes longer and costs more to get here. Not every GUE instructor has what it takes to make a good technical instructor. This is not just another step up the ladder. A GUE instructor is expected to have significant experience in diving as well as educating. The standards are higher and so is the risk you will be required to manage. This is your opportunity to work with two of the most experienced GUE Tech instructors in GUE.

GUE CCR 1 ITC with Graham Blackmore and Guy Shockey, Vancouver Island, July 8-13, 2024
Becoming a GUE CCR instructor is a challenging hill to climb and can be a demanding process. Graham and Guy want to make this a more direct pathway for existing GUE instructors who have this goal. The goal of this ITC will be to make the journey ahead more efficient and direct. I suggest you contact me directly at [email protected] and discuss your preparation and plans and how we can help.

GUE FundamentaIs ITC, Vancouver Island, July 15th-20th, 2024 with Mark Messersmith, Graham Blackmore and Guy Shockey
Becoming a GUE instructor can be a long and demanding process, as is confirmed by the small group that has been able to reach the high bar we have set. One of the most direct paths to this certification is by attending an Instructor Training Course. Here we will work on learning to teach classroom lectures, refine field drills, and work on your personal diving skills and student control in the water. We will have some of the most experienced GUE instructor evaluators in the world here during that time so if you are thinking of heading down this path, there is no better opportunity!
